Welcome to the Justice League class! We’re so excited to have you join us for an action-packed year of learning, growing, and achieving together.
Teachers
Miss Shepherd is our class teacher and she is supported by Mrs Bafna, who works closely with us to help every child succeed. Together, they create a positive, supportive environment where every member of the Justice League can thrive.
Class Topics
This year, we’ll be diving into a wide range of exciting topics across the curriculum. From discovering ancient civilizations in History to hands-on Science investigations, creative writing adventures, and exploring our world in Geography—there’s so much to look forward to! Our topics include:
– Ancient Greece
– The Alps
– WW2
– Deserts
– Sikh Empire
– Energy
PE
PE takes place on Monday and Friday. Please make sure your child comes to school in their full PE kit on these days. We’ll be developing skills in teamwork, coordination, fitness, and having lots of fun while staying active!
Homework
Homework is set every Monday and due back on Friday. It will include a mix of reading, spelling, and times tables. Please support your child by helping them establish a regular homework routine.
SATS
This is a big year as we prepare for the Year 6 SATs in May. We’ll be working hard throughout the year to build confidence and skills in Maths, Reading, and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar). Regular practice, support at home, and a positive mindset make all the difference!
