Welcome to the Justice League!
The Justice League work hard, enjoy learning and collaborate to make things happen. We want each pupil to feel individual success and achieve amazing things in a safe and supportive environment. The class is a welcoming space that allows pupils to be who they are, express themselves and have their voice heard. We follow our nine core values and learn from the mistakes we may make along the way.
The Justice League is taught by Miss Shepherd and supported by Mrs Wood as well as other adults popping in and out throughout the week. All staff are there to help and support not just learning, but social, emotional and mental health of pupils.
Attendance and Punctuality
Pupils are expected to be in school at 8:40 for their morning task and preparation for the day. Correct uniform, correct mindset and correct equipment is important to have a successful day.
PE Kits
Our PE days are Mondays and Wednesdays however PE kits are expected to be in every day. Red t-shirts, black shorts/joggers and sensible trainers/pumps are essential for PE lessons.
Homework
Homework will be given to the children every Monday; this includes spellings which need to be practised in preparation for a weekly test on a Friday. Children are also expected to read to an adult at home at least 3 times a week and complete 25 garage sessions on TTRS.
Home – School communication
We want to celebrate learning and share successes with parents so keep updated via the Dojo class story and social media pages. Dojo points are used to reward positive behaviour. Class teachers have set up Dojo shops so students can use their points to buy prizes.
It is an important year for both year five and year six this year so we want to make it as smooth as we can. We want pupils ‘To be the best you can be’.
Do not hesitate to contact me whenever you need. I am always a quick Dojo message away.
Miss Shepherd.
