Winter can be a difficult time – existing pressures can be heightened when we have to deal with keeping warm, the costs of Christmas and possible health challenges. We’ve put together some ways you can find support.

Emergency help

Food help

Food banks

To get help from a food bank, you need to be referred with an electronic voucher. This can be issued by agencies such as Citizens Advice, health practitioners, social prescribers or other community workers. If you are in financial crisis, call the ‘Citizens Advice Help Through Hardship’ helpline on 0808 208 2138. If appropriate you will be helped to access an emergency food parcel.
