PJ Masks have had a fantastic start to the new school year with lots of lovely adults supporting in the classroom. We are making so many new friends through play in our class, where we learn through fun cross-curricular and practical activities every day. There are always lots of learning opportunities as we explore and investigate the many areas, resources, and challenges within our indoor and outdoor areas of the classroom.

PE is on Thursday afternoon; all children should have a named school PE kit for this.

We are reading 1:1 every week in class with the Reception children; children should be reading their Home Reader book at least 3 times per week at home with adults noting any reading in the Reading Record book. Reception children should also be practising reading and writing the phonics they have learned in school which are brought home on the phonics keyring.

Nursery children are encouraged to mark-make through pictures and colouring, and are given opportunities to begin to write every day. We are currently working on writing our names.

Please login to the Dojo app to access news and updates about our class and whole-school information. We also use Tapestry to share our learning with our children’s families at home through photos and videos. Families can also contact Miss Baxter through the Dojo app and Tapestry.

We love being in school and always try our best!
